雅思口语主要分为三部分，其中包括一些关于你自己的专业、家乡、兴趣爱好、家庭等话题。而考题主要会包括事件、地点、人物、物品、媒体、重点这些类型。
雅思口语考试分为三部分PART1雅思口语考试第一部分(4-5minutes4-5分钟)：雅思口语考官将问你一些非常直接的问题。考官就一个话题将会问你3到4个问题。
然后转到另一个话题。你将谈论你自己、你的专业、你的学习(过去或现在)、你的家庭、你的家乡、你的爱好,或你的日常活动。要扩展你的回答,给出详细的信息,使其具有趣味性,这样一切就会很好。问题不会很难。只需要简单地围绕着问题回答,并向考官展示你能够交谈。别把事情复杂化。只要充分地回答每个问题即可。

笔试试卷(120分钟)分听力、英语知识运用、阅读理解和写作四部分；口试试卷(10分钟)分三节（教师与考生对话/生生对话/考生连续表达）考查考生的口语交际能力。
任何人均可参加PETS考试。PETS在考生资格方面，无年龄、职业以及受教育程度的限制。考生可以根据自己的英语水平选择参加PETS任一级别的考试。
英语水平是个很模糊的概念。简单来说：110在普通高校高中是顶尖；在有出国氛围和留学历史的优秀高中和优秀高校比如浙江大学比如南外深外杭外，属于优秀。
