一天，一只小猴子在井边玩。

它往井里一瞧并高喊道：“噢！我的天！月亮掉到井里啦！”
Anoldermonkeyrunsover,takesalook,andsays,“Goodnessme!Themoonisreallyinthewater!”
一只较大的猴子跑过来，一看，说，“天啊！月亮真的在水里！”
Anelderlymonkeycomesover.Heisverysurprised(惊奇的)aswellandcriesout,“Themoonisinthewell.”
一只老猴子走过来。他也非常惊奇并喊道：“月亮在井里！”
Agroupofmonkeysrunovertothewell.
一群猴子跑到井边。
Theylookatthemooninthewellandshout,“Themoondidfallintothewell!Comeon!Let’sgetitout!”
他们看着井里的月亮喊道：“月亮真的掉到井里啦！快来！让我们把它捞出来！”
Then,theoldestmonkeyhangsonthetreeupsidedown,withhisfeethookingonthebranch(树枝).
然后，那只最老的猴子倒挂在大树上，他的脚勾在树枝上。

然后他用手拉着下一只猴子的脚。
Alltheothermonkeysfollowthissuit,andtheyjoineachotheronebyonedowntothemooninthewell.
其他所有的猴子一只只跟风照做，它们一只接着一只去够井里的月亮。
Justbeforetheyreachthemoon,theoldestmonkeyraiseshisheadandhappenstoseethemooninthesky.
就在他们碰到月亮之前，那只老猴子抬起他的头，碰巧看见月亮在天上。
