客户希望将项目与他们在城市中的住宅进行区分，并且能够将海湾、墨尔本天际线和附近高尔夫球场的美景尽收眼底。它们激发了设计师的灵感，最终打造出犹如酒店般原始且奢华的氛围。建筑从街道上看像是一道由异型混凝土制成的“城堡墙”，它预示着许多意想不到的时刻和元素，TravisWalton的目的是构建一种不言而喻的反建筑形式的设计理念。
TheclientwantedtodifferentiatetheprojectfromtheirhomesinthecityandbeabletotakeinviewsoftheBay,Melbourneskylineandthenearbygolfcourse.Theyinspirethedesignersandultimatelycreateapristineandluxuriousatmospherelikeahotel.Thebuildinglookslikea"castlewall"madeofshapedconcretefromthestreet,whichforeshadowsmanyunexpectedmomentsandelements,andTravisWalton'saimwastoconstructadesignphilosophythatspeaksforitselfasananti-architecturalform.

步入室内，一个独特的反向居住空间被置于一个架空的、类似于平台的结构中，生成地下空间，也成为一处非常规的入口，创造了不同的入户体验。一个通向主卧犹如雕塑般的混凝土楼梯被布置于此，可以俯瞰Sorrento高尔夫球场的绵延青山和Bass海峡的优美景致。

虽然Norfolk住宅室内以米色、驼色和奶油色为主，但SimoneHaag希望它有别于传统的海滨别墅，避免过度的装饰，将大胆、独特、有趣的家具置入其中。由NoteDesignStudio设计的弧形Snow沙发布置在起居室中心，重叠的长毛和条纹地毯彼此协调。
WhiletheinterioroftheNorfolkhouseisdominatedbybeige,camelandcream,SimoneHaagwantedittobedifferentfromthetraditionalbeachhousebyavoidingexcessivedecorationandincorporatingbold,uniqueandinterestingfurniture.AcurvedSnowsofabyNoteDesignStudioisplacedinthecenterofthelivingroom,withoverlappinglonghairandstripedrugsthatcoordinatewitheachother.
Manyofthefacadesaremadeofoldmetal,blackenedsteelanddarkstonetocreateanoriginal,unpretentiousfeel.Thistoneisparticularlyevidentinthekitchen,wherebronzedbrassleavesitsmarkovertime,complementedbygreenmarblebenchesandleather-texturedblackcountertops,creatingaspacethatisbothluxuriousandfunctional.
