Abstract
ThispaperputsforwardacompleteandcomprehensiveSWOTdevelopmentstrategymodelonthebasisofthe
previousSWOTanalysismodelandthecasestudyofHaierGroup.AfterageneralreviewofbothSWOTandHaier,thispaperfocusesonhowHaiercanmakeappropriateSOSTWOandWTstrategiesbyanalyzingandallocatingitsinternalfactors(strengthsandweaknesses)aswellasexternalenvironments(opportunitiesandthreats).TheaimistoprovideanapplicableHaiermodelwhichcombinesSWOTanalysiswithstrategyformulationtosetanexampleofhowSWOTassistsbusinessindevelopingfeasiblestrategies,andsimultaneouslyprovidesanin-depthunderstandingofthe“glocal”strategyofHaierasoneofthemostsuccessfulenterprisesincurrentChina.

Inordertobetterunderstandthefollowinganalysis,abriefandoverallglimpseofHaier‘sdevelopmentispresentedhereinthispart.HaierGroup,foundedin1984withitsheadquartersinQingdao,China,istheleadingbrandofwhitegoodsgloballyandthemostvaluablebrandinChina.Withconsiderableawardsandachievements,Haierhasinvolvedintoagiantmultinationalcorporation.ThedevelopmentofHaiercanbe
