EXPERTSWORKINGINXI’ANUNIVERSITYOFSCIANCEANDTECHNOLOGY
1.Theforeignexpert/teachershallprovidethefollowingmaterialstotheuniversitywhenapplyingforateachingposition:
1).PersonalResume;
2).DegreeCertificate(copy);
3).Recommendationletterwrittenbyprofessorofhis/hercountryorfromhis/herformeremployer
4).CertificateofTeacherorrelevantprofessionalskillcertificate;
5)Evidenceonmarriagestatus;(TheChinesepeopleisingreatrespectoffamily.CohabitationwithoutmarriageisdeemedasnotinaccordwithtraditionalmoralityandviolationofChineseMarriageLaw.Therefore,wehopethattheforeignexpertsrespectthecustomandhabitofChinesepeople.Accordingtoregulation,financeorfiancéecannotenjoyrelatedexpensesandbenefitsprovidedbythehostinstitution,asisfoundouttobeinaccordwithinternationalconventions.)
6)HealthCertificate.
2.Withinoneweekafterhis/herarrivingattheuniversity,theforeignexpert/teachershouldfirstsignthecontractwiththeuniversitytomakecleartheresponsibilitiesofthebothsides.Oncethecontractissignedthetwopartiesmustcarryouttherulesandregulationsstrictly.
3.Duringhis/herstayinChina,theforeignexpert/teachershallobservethelaws,decreesandrelevantregulationsenactedbytheChinesegovernment.He/shemustn’tinterfereinChina’sinternalaffairsordoanythingharmfultoChinaandChinesepeople.
4.Theforeignexpert/teachermaygototheopenreligioussitesinChinaforreligiouslifeascommonreligiousbelievers,buttheyarenotallowedtopreach,recruitnewbelieversandinterferewithreligionaffairsinChina.
5.Theforeignexpert/teachermustabidebyalltherulesandregulationsoftheuniversity.He/shecan’tgooutfortravelingorsightseeingduringtheworkingtime.Ifhe/sheplanstogooutandleaveXi’anduringtheholidays,theforeignexpert/teachershouldinformtheInternationalExchangeandCooperationCenteroftheUniversity.
6.Theforeignexpert/teachershallcooperatewiththeuniversityandmakeeveryefforttocompletethetasksagreedon.He/sheshalldohis/herworkfollowingthearrangementsandinstructionsformtherelatedprofessionaldepartmentsandbytheendofeachsemester,he/sheshallacceptcertaininspectionsandevaluationsfromtheuniversityandhandinaformalconcludingreporttoInternationalExchangeandCooperationCenterandtherelateddepartmentsoftheuniversity(TheForeignLanguageDepartmentandtheGraduateDepartment).
7.WithoutpermissionofInternationalExchangeandCooperationCenter,theforeignexpert/teachershallnotrenderserviceselsewhereorholdconcurrentlyanypostunrelatedtotheworkagreedonwiththeuniversity.
8.Whenanythingrelatedtoteachingissues,foreignexpertsorforeignteachersshouldcontactwiththeappointedforeign-teacher-assistantoftheForeignLanguageDepartmentandtheGraduateDepartment.
9.Documentaries,video-tapes,andmovies,etcforteachingpurposesprovidedbyforeignexpert/teachermaybeshowntothestudentsonlyafterpassingexaminationbyofficialsinchargeintheuniversity.
10.Whenanythingrelatedtotheadministrativeissues,foreignexpertorforeignteachershouldcontactwiththedesignatedofficialwhoisinchargeofforeignexpertsandforeignteachersfromInternationalExchangeandCooperationCenteroftheuniversity.
11.Whenanythingrelatedtothesecurityissues,foreignexpertorforeignteachershouldcontactwithbothInternationalExchangeandCooperationCenterandtheSecuritySectionoftheuniversity.
12.Forthesafetyoftheforeignexpert/teacher,his/herfriendsorguestsshallnotstayovernight.Iftherearegoodreasons,he/sheshouldasktheInternationalExchangeandCooperationCenterforthepermissioninadvance.Eachguestshouldpay50Yuanforeachnightaccordingly.Thevisitinghoursarefrom6:00amtill11:00pm.
13.Requestforsickleavebytheforeignexpertshallbeprovedbytheforeign-involvedhospitalappointedbytheuniversity.Wherethesickleaveamounttolessthan30daysinonecontractterm(oneyearoroneacademicyear),theforeignexpertshallbepaid100%ofthesalary.Incasetheleaveexceeds30days,theuniversitywilldissolvethecontract.Ifthecontractisnotdissolvedthesalarywillbepaidby70%untilthenormalworkisresumed.
14.Privateaffairsleaveoftheforeignexpertshallacquiretheapprovaloftheuniversity.Theuniversitymaydeductthesalarybyday.Inthecontractterm(oneyearoroneacademicyear),theprivateaffairsleaveshallnotexceed10days.Thecontinuousprivateaffairsleaveshallbenomorethan3days.Whereonedayexceeds,salaryfortwodayswillbededucted.
15.Incaseofabsenceofworkwithoutallowanceoftheuniversity,whereabsenceamountstooneday,paymentfor3dayswillbededucted.Wherethecircumstanceisserious,theuniversitymaycriticizethemorwillhavetodissolvethecontractandinvestigatetheliabilityoftheforeignexpertforviolationofthecontract.
16.Theforeignexpert/teacherwillenjoy400Yuanworthofmedicaltreatmentfeeforminorcomplaintseachyearintheclinicoftheuniversity.Expensestobebornebyforeignexpertsthemselvesincludethatofregistration,housecalls,toothinsertion,cosmeticsurgery,eye-glasses,boardinhospitalandnutritionfornon-medicalpurpose.
17.Theuniversityusuallyappointscertainhospitalsformedicaltreatmentforforeignexperts/teachers.Iftheappointedhospitalgivestheopinionoftheneedoftransfertoanotherhospital,orthediseaseneedsfurthertreatmentinaspecializedhospital,themedicalexpensestherebyincurredmaybereimbursedwiththeapprovalbytheuniversity.Iftheexpert/teachergoestootherhospitalsfortreatmentwithoutconsentfromtheappointedhospitalortheuniversity,medicalexpensestherebyincurredshallasageneralrulenotbereimbursed.
18.Generally,theuniversitydoesnotprovidetransportationforforeignexpertsgoingtohospital.Ifitisanemergency,theuniversityshallprovidefreetransportationorreimbursethefare.
19.Foreignexpert/teacherwillenjoythepaidwintervacations.AndbepaidRMB2200Yuanastravelingfeeafterhefinisheshisoneacademicyear’s(twosemesters)servicefortheuniversity.
20.Foreignexpert/teacherwillenjoyround-tripinternationalairtickets(economyclass)afterhefinisheshis/heroneacademicyear’s(twosemesters)servicefortheuniversity.Thereimbursementshouldbedonebytheoriginalticketsandtheformalreceipt.
21.Foreignexperts\teachersareentitledtothefollowingholidays:NewYear’sDay,Christmas(twodays),SpringFestival,LaborDay,NationalDayandotherholidaysaccordingtolawsandregulations,thesameastheChineseemployeesinthesameworkplace.Andforeignexperts/teacherscanhaveaone-dayholidayiftheyrequesttocelebratetheirownNationalDay.
22.Theforeignexperts/teachersshouldtakegoodcareoftheutensilsorpropertysuppliedwithintheapartment.Ifanyutensilsaredamaged,theyshouldbepaidaccordingly.
23.Theforeignexperts/teachersshallnotallowedtoraisepetslikecatsordogsintheirapartmentinanycase.

外国文教专家来校工作须知
1.外国专家求职应提供一下材料:
1.个人履历;
2.学位证书(复印件);
3.本国教授或原聘单位出具的推荐信;
4.教师证书或有关专业技术证明;
5.婚姻状况证明(中国是一个尊重家庭的民族,未婚同居被认为是不符合传统道德和违犯中国《婚姻法》的,因此,我们希望外国专家尊重中国人民的风俗习惯。按规定,未婚夫、妻不能享受聘用单位提供的有关费用和福利,这样作也是符合国际惯例的);
6.健康证明
2.外专外教抵达学校后一周内应和学校签署聘用合同以明确双方的责任和义务。合同签署后,双方必须严格执行所规定的条款。
4.外专外教可以到中国境内开放的宗教场所以普通宗教信仰者的身份过宗教生活,但不允许在华布道传教,不得发展教徒,不得插手我国的宗教事务。
6.外专外教应和学校合作尽力完成双方认可的工作。应按照教学单位安排和要求进行工作。每学期末应接受学校的教学检查和教学评估并向校国际交流与合作中心和英语系或研究生部交纳一份正式的教学总结报告。
7.未经国际交流与合作中心的同意,外专外教不得兼任与学校无关的其他劳务。
8.凡与教学有关的事宜可与指定的外籍教师助理联系解决(英语系和研究生部)。
9.外专外教提供教学用的录像带、电影片、凡属有利工作和教学的资料片、风光片、故事片,经学校审查后方可向学生放映。
10.凡与日常外专外教管理有关的事宜应与主管外专外教的人员联系解决。
11.凡与安全有关的事宜可与校保卫处和国际交流与合作中心联系解决。
12.为了保障外专外教的安全,未经许可,来访的朋友或客人不允许留宿过夜。如遇特殊情况,应提前通知国际交流与合作中心。
13.外专外教请病假,须凭学校指定医院医生证明。在一个合同期内(一年或一个学年)累计病假不满30天,仍享受100%的工资。如超过30天,学校有权解除聘用合同,如合同未解除,可享受70%的工资,直至能够恢复正常工作为止。
14.外专外教请事假须经学校的同意,学校将按日扣发工资。在合同期(一年或一学年)内,事假累计不得超过10天,连续事假不得超过3天,超过一天,将扣发2天的工资。
15.未经学校同意而擅离职守的,旷职1天,扣发3天工资。情节严重的,学校有权解聘合同,并追究外专外教的违约责任。
16.外专外教每年可享受学校提供的校内医疗费400元以解决一般的小病。挂号、出诊、治疗用车、镶牙、整容、配眼睛、按摩、住院伙食和服用非医疗性的滋补药品等费用由外专外教自理。
17.学校通常为外专外教指定医院就诊。如指定医院认为需要转院,或外专外教所患疾病需去专科医院治疗,经学校同意,去非指定医院治疗的医药费可按规定报销。如外专外教本人未经指定医院或学校同意,自行到其他医院就诊,其医药费一般不予报销。
18.学校一般不提供外专外教看病用车。如外专外教患急病,重病需要送医院抢救的,学校免费提供车辆或报销车费。
19.外专外教在华工作一年以上(两个学期)可享受带薪寒假及旅游费2200元。
20.外专外教在华工作一年以上,其国际往返机票由学校予以报销,原机票及发票进行报销。
21.外专外教享受下列节日休息:元旦、圣诞节(2天)、春节、国际劳动节、国庆节及国家法律规定的其他节日,按学校职工的假期放假。
22.外专外教应爱护公寓内的设备和用具,如有损坏应予以赔偿。
