随着经济的快速发展，移动物联网技术迅速飞跃，宠物市场的蓬勃兴起，人们对于移动宠物设备的需求也越来越多。移动可穿戴设备目前只保证了对于人的需求满足，很少有对于宠物的针对性产品。市面上设备大多数使用的是GPS或者北斗卫星导航系统，本设计以GPS模块为主WIFI模块为辅进行定位，既满足了室内外定位的需求，也满足用户使用的便捷性。
本论文设计了一款宠物定位项圈。在室内通过宠物定位项圈与家庭WIFI的连接，如果宠物脱离了家庭WIFI的连接，则会通过GSM系统自动发送报警信息和宠物当前经纬度信息到用户手机。在室外定位方面是用来GPS定位模块，保证了定位精度，在报警机制生效的同时，定时发送宠物定位信息给用户，用户可以通过经纬度app查询宠物所在地点。在室内或者卫星定位较弱地区，可通过开启手机热点与宠物定位项圈的WIFI模块进行连接，开启蜂鸣器和LED灯闪烁，保证了在信号较弱或者室内多楼层信号复杂地区的宠物寻找。
