Atracefileisacollectionoftraces.CTSgeneratestracefilesbasedonservicesandtransfercycleandsendthesefilestoyourspecifiedOBSbucketinrealtime.Inmostcases,alltracesofaservicegeneratedinatransfercyclearecompressedintoonetracefile.However,iftherearealargenumberoftraces,CTSwilladjustthenumberoftracescontainedineachtracefile.

Theauthenticityofoperationrecordsduringasecurityincidentinvestigationisoftenaffectedbytracefilesbeingdeletedortamperedwith.Therecordsthereforecannotbeusedasaneffectivebasisforinvestigation.Therefore,CTSprovidestracefileintegrityverificationtohelpyouensuretheauthenticityoftracefiles.

TheverificationfunctionfortracefileintegrityadoptsindustrystandardalgorithmsandgeneratesaHashvalueforeachtracefile.ThisHashvaluechangeswhenthetracefileismodifiedordeleted.Therefore,bytrackingtheHashvalue,youcanconfirmwhetherthetracefileismodified.Inaddition,theRSAalgorithmisusedtosignonthedigestfiletoensurethatthefileisnotmodified.Inthisway,anyoperationsofmodifyingordeletingtracefilesarerecordedbyCTS.

Aftertheverificationfunctionfortracefileintegrityisenabled,CTSgeneratesadigestfileforHashvaluesofalltracefilesrecordedinthepasthourandsynchronizesthedigestfiletoanOBSbucketconfiguredforthecurrenttracker.

CTSsignsoneachdigestfileusingpublicandprivatekeys.YoucanverifythedigestfileusingthepublickeyafterthefileisstoredtotheOBSbucket.

AregionreferstoageographicareawheretheserverforinstallingCTSislocated.AZsinthesamegeographicareacancommunicatewitheachotherthroughaninternalnetwork.
