2018年华时代全球短片节迎来了2039部短片，经过初审评委的严格挑选，一共有120部短片入围短片，大会主办方将从11月起联手三克映画推出线下展映活动:每周一－周四为类型单元策展，周五周六举办主题和展映及映后交流。
本次华时代全球短片节入围的短片内容纷繁。不难看出年轻华人看待世界的多维度视角，更能看到年轻人尝试用自身的视角重新看待世界，解释世界。为此HISFF制定八大主題展映，分别是：

从本周开始，华时代全球短片节将联手CINKER，从11月12日起在CINKER北京的三克映画店进行入围短片的系列展映。周五、周六的展映之后，更会有展映短片的创作者来到现场，与观众一起探讨影像的深度与张力，进行一场在维度间反复跃迁的狂欢。
