Vegetariansweremorelikelytobefemale,tobeofhighersocialclassandtohavehigheracademicorvocationalqualificationsthannon-vegetarians.However,thesedifferenceswerenotreflectedintheirannualincome,whichwassimilartothatofnon-vegetarians.
